HOW NOT ANOTHER LABEL BECAME NOT JUST ANOTHER LABEL!
Wellll long story short I left high school early (took lots of convincing) to work for a brand. I thought it was MY LIFE. they were flying me all across the country and taught me the most unreal work ethic a teenager could have. Ha! I was sooooo into it. I learned a little snippet of every side of the business so it really unintentionally set me up well for what was to come. 4 years later I was 20(I think?) and realized “I can’t own this company, what am I doing!?”, so I quit the next day and was like welp now or never… but now I have to pay my bills so I better get to it. I made my first brand- hung around with it for 2 years, then x’d that, and started this one at 22. It is the biggest thing to create something that is entirely you and I think Not Another Label totally embodies that.
I came up with the name Not Another Label because this was my 2nd brand and I was kind of making fun of myself for starting another one. Also helps that it could mean it’s kind of like on it’s own level, unlike anyone else. NOT ANOTHER LABEL ! Get it? OK :)

I'm obcessed with the vintage vibe you got going on and how you can put your own spin to match your style. Has vintage always been your thing?
I just looove anything old school. Iv’e always been drawn to vintage tees. I remember being in middle school and going to this place in LA called “Thank You Mart” and the Melrose Trading Post to grab all of them up.
What was the first thing you ever made?
Oh mannn, I object.
What’s your absolute favorite tee?
The one we just came out with today! The “Dream Girl” tee! I keep refreshing the website b/c I’m so obsessed.
Where do you draw the most inspo from?
Boys hahhaaaa! You can totally tell what kind of mood I’m in when a new tee comes out. My friends always text me and their like “aww are you ok?” Or “omg who is it?!” Hah!! Drama.
What’s your favorite thing about running your own business?
Oooo wow. *thinks for 5 minutes* I think it would be choosing who I want to work with. Whether it’s the designers, models, manufacturers, sales team etc. I really really like giving my energy to people who are equally as excited as I am on a project.
Who was the first retailer you ever sold to?
!!! I have no clue. Wow That is such a bummer.

What's the one thing you would tell the next little girl dreaming of starting her own biz?
“The answer is always no if you don’t ask.” ASK AWAY!! For real. You’ll be surprised who is in a good mood one day and will make something happen for you.
